We had a wonderful day discovering lots of things. All children took part in a Spelling Bee in their classes. Then the top two children from each class were challenged again by Mr Nicholson and the best two spellers in the Year group went into the final. The final took place in the hall with the whole school watching and the participants were very brave. All the children did amazingly well with their spelling and the winners were: Daisy Huxtable, Jack Aldridge, Tilly Bean, Ruben Englefield and Jackson Woodman. The runners up were extremely resilient and a credit to the school.
All children also took part in a Mathletics competition in the hall with Mrs Sales where they had to achieve as many points on the activities as they could in 10 minutes. The classes with the most points were Trewortha, Ottery, Treyarnon and Godrevy. The Year group with the most points was Year 4 – Well done!
In their classes, the children also completed a science investigation. They really enjoyed finding out about new and exciting things. Please have a look in the class galleries for photos.
