Awards Assembly – 14.02.20

We all love these last assemblies of the half term as we get chance to hear who has been awarded the Head (academic achievement and effort related), Hands (practicality and helpfulness etc) and Heart (kindness and friendships etc) awards.  The children have worked so hard this half term and they should all be so proud […]

Awards Assembly – 07.02.20

No Year 5 today as they were building shadow cages up at Antony House but still some wonderful comments from staff about the progress and achievement on show in Years 3, 4 and 6.  Some of the attitudes to learning and the desire to succeed have been superb and we are all so proud of […]

X-Country Race at Lanhydrock

The next race in the East Cornwall League was held at Lanhydrock on Friday. In the grounds of the old house, Carbeile runners excelled themselves. There were 3 top 10 finishers- including a 2nd. Our brand new runners were superb and wore the vest with pride!

Year 5 Antony House Trip

Year 5 took a trip to Antony House to find some inspiration for their tension stories that they will be writing. We have been studying the book ‘The Shadow Cage’ – a mysterious and suspense building story. The children really enjoyed getting muddy and making their own shadow cages, creating some sketch maps of the grounds […]

A really good fun assembly today, with jokes, great reasons for song choices and even our first ever 100% attendance and 100% Reading Records…well done Trevose.  Year 6 have been smashing everything this week, well done, and there have been some stand out Golden Tokens for being all-round super-duper human beings.  Such a pleasure to […]

Awards Assembly – 24.01.2020

A really varied assembly today, with some outstanding learning attitudes and friendships being outlined, along with a girl in Year 4 who had been brave enough to allow a tarantula to walk on her face…a typical Carbeile assembly!

French Christmas Market

a result of our amazing Curriculum Hubs, the Humanities Hub planned a Christmas Market as part of French Day.  The 4 year groups spent the morning preparing the ‘wares’ for the market in the afternoon and then the children came in to spend their 5 Euros on some of the great gifts for Christmas.  We […]
